Starry Night

Hello everyone and thanks so much for stopping by!

Today was my turn to post to the Whimsy Inspirations blog, and since it's my first time doing that, of course I wanted to show a brand new card.

The stamp I have used is an older one by Crissy Armstrong "Starry Night", but it's new to me and so so cute!!

The image has been heat embossed and colored with derwent coloursoft and prismacolor pencils. The trees outside the window were stamped and stamped "off" using SU ink and glitter was applied. The little star is also part of the stamp, I just cut it out and added some silver stickles glitter to it.
I used papers from the DCWV linen stack. Embellished with some ribbon, more sparkles, lace and snowflake brads in the corners. The sentiment is also from Whimsy Stamps "Winter Letter Seals" by raindrop echo.

I'd love to enter this card to the following challenges:

Thanks so much again for visiting, be sure to stop by the inspirations blog too, there is something new posted almost daily featuring Whimsy Stamps! Oh, and just a quick reminder if you haven't seen the new Whimsy mini Magazine, click the picture below. It's packed full of ideas using the latest released stamps.

Hello sweet baby

Happy Saturday! I hope you are enjoying your weekend!

I have been needing to make a baby card for some time now, finally found extra time today and this is what I made.
I used a very old Stampin Up set, baby's firsts. One of the first sets I bought when I started stamping.
Designer Paper is from a Debbie Mum Paper Pack. The sentiment is from a set from The Angel Company. I embellished with some ribbon and glitter.

I'd love to enter my card to a few challenges:

Whimsy Stamps Sept. Rubber & die release FINAL showcase day

Hi Whimsy fans!

On September 14th we released our fabulous new rubber stamps and dies. Over the past week the Whimsy Stamps DT and Whimsy Special Guests have been showcasing these awesome new goodies, and each day we held a 24hr mini blog hop where you could enter to win a prize! So be sure to visit the Whimsy Inspirations blog to see if you are one of the lucky winners.

Although the mini blog hop prize draws have ended, we still have one final day of showcases for you, so please visit today's DT to take a peek at their final new release projects:

Finally, you will be pleased to hear that we are releasing a Whimsy Inspirations Mini Magazine today that focuses on the new release stamps!! Simply click the link above to check it out.

And here is my card for today.

I used the stamp cat-o-lantern by Meljen's which was just
released in rubber. I also used the stamp set "lavish flourishes" by raindrop echo, also just released. I just inked it up with pumpkin ink, stamped off once and then stamped on the white piece of card stock for a lighter look.

The Designer Paper is from DCWV harvest stack. I embellished with a button and twine (my favorite embellishments at the moment), sponged the edges and then sewed the edges with my janome sew mini.
Not sure if it is visible in the photo, but the "hat" and pumpkin front were popped up on dimensionals.

Coloring was done with derwent coloursoft pencils and blended with baby oil.
Here is a close up of the cute image.

Oh, and the sentiment is from a retired Stampin Up set.

I would love to enter my card to the following challenges.
And that should be all for today. I hope you liked my card and enjoyed the mini blog hop!
Have a great day!!

People for Digital Tuesday

Hello and happy tuesday!

I actually have a little sad news to share today along with my Digital Tuesday card.
I had to come to the decision to step down from my owner position at digital tuesday due to the fact that I have been working a few more days than originally planned at my regular job, which of course makes for less crafting time. And since Digital Tuesday was the most time consuming part of my hobby, with all that it takes to "run" it, it was what I chose to give up, so I still have the time to spend with my family, and still be able to enjoy my hobby.

Luckily Lora who was on the team with me from the very beginning has agreed to take over the Digital Tuesday Challenge blog, so the challenges will continue!

And here is my last Digital Tuesday card. I used a digi from our sponsor "Guylou inimitability".

Our challenge theme this week was chosen by Michelle and she would like to see

"People images".

This image was so much fun to work with! I colored it with Derwent coloursoft pencils and blended with baby oil. I don't know if you can tell by the picture, but one of the pumpkins was popped up with a dimensional.

The papers are from DCWV, Stampin Up, and Neenah. Embellished with some hemp twine and paper pierced the bottom edge.

The sentiment is from a brand new Whimsy Rubber Stamp Set : Autumn Seals by Raindrop Echo. It's such a great set to use with fall images, and it's still on sale for 10% off along with all the other newly released rubber stamps for just a couple more days or until out of stock.

I would love to enter my card to the following challenges:
Thank you so much for stopping by! And hopefully you'll be able to check back tomorrow for the final day of Whimsy Stamps showcase with a mini blog hop!

I colored the image using my derwent coloursoft pencils and some copic markers for the skin. The paper is from Basic Grey, card stock is from Stampin Up.
All edges have been sponged, distressed and sewed with my janome mini. In the two corners I used the small stamp from "lavish flourishes" by raindrop echo".

Here is what I created for today, using the adorable Pum Kinnie Fairy stamp by Crissy Armstrong, along with the Autumn Seals sentiment set by Raindrop Echo, which are both available for 10% off right now at the Whimsy Stamps Store.

I had so much fun coloring her!! I used my derwent coloursoft pencils and some blending stumps dipped in baby oil to color her. Skin was colored with copics.
The papers are from Stampin Up (olive), Neenah (white), and the Designer Paper is from DVWV harvest stack. It is a simpler card, I wanted to keep the focus on the image. So I just added a large prima flower, some flourishes and stitched the edges. Glitter was added to the fairy wings and leaves.

Id' love to enter my card to the following challenges:

Cuddly Buddly - Add a tag

Hello and happy weekend everyone! I hope you are enjoying where ever you may be! I know I am, love the little cooler temps and even enjoyed the rain yesterday!

I found some time yesterday to play, and since I had won some super cute Cuddly Buddly images a few weeks ago, I decided to play in their challenge again.

The theme this week is

"add a tag".

I made a very simple card, sometimes I am just overwhelmed by all the embellishments and layers, and on those days I go for a CAS look.

Here is my card.

The cut out the scallop shape and layered the image behind it. Then added a strip of designer paper from last year. The image was colored with derwent coloursoft pencils to match the paper. To finish it off I added some dazzling diamonds glitter, silver cord and punched out the sentiment and added it as a tag to the card.

I'd love to enter this to the following challenges:
Before I let you go, I wanted to remind you about the Whimsy Stamps sale!

Fairy Wishes for Digital Tuesday

Hello and happy tuesday!

Hope you are having a great start into september so far! I have been sick the last week, which left me very tired and without any energy, but finally feeling a little better.

We have a new challenge for you over at Digital Tuesday. This week our theme is

Fairy Wishes

chosen by the lovely Lorraine.

Our sponsor is

Mo Manning
of Mo's Digital Pencil,

and she is giving away 3 $5 gift codes to 3 lucky randomly chosen winners. How fun is that!!

I have several favorites from Mo Manning, can you believe I didn't have one fairy image!! I had plans on purchasing one just for this occasion, and so that I could combine my card with Mo's Digital Challenge, but then came down with the cold and had no energy or mojo to shop.

So I decided to use this adorable Fairy from Wee Stamps instead.
And speaking Wee stamps, did you know that in October a selection of Wee Stamps will be available to purchase in rubber exclusively at Whimsy Stamps.
I cannot wait!!

Ok, and now here is my card for the challenge.

The image has been colored with derwent coloursoft pencils and some copics. Papers are from basic grey. I have no idea where I found this sketch, but I really like it and will be using it again for sure. I embellished with some punched out flowers and leaves, brads and ribbon, and did some machine sewing to finish it off.

Just a few challenges I am entering this today:
That's about it for me from today. Hope you'll play along at digital tuesday this week for a chance at winning a Mo Manning prize!!

Whimsy Stamps Digital Stamp Release and some exciting news

Hello, I am back with my second card for the day!

Since today is the first of the month (can you believe it's already september??) it's also new release day over at the Whimsy's Stamps Digital Corner. Several new cuties have just been released, from Crissy Armstrong, Kathryne and from Whimsy's newest digital artist Lia Stamps. Lots to choose from, something for everyone!

Of course part of the team is holding a blog hop to show you these new digis. I am not part of the hop but if you'd like to hop along for some fun prizes, simply visit the Whimsy inspirations blog to start and to see more of the newly released digis.

I did make a card with one of the new gorgeous images. I used Crissy Armstrong's "Turk in boots.". What a fun image. I especially had lots of fun popping up several parts of the image.

I have to admit, the whole time I made this card, I kept humming the song "turkey in the straw". LOL. My son used to love the TV show barney when he was little, and one of his favorite movies from that series was the "adventure bus". He watched that so many times and that was one of the songs the kids were singing on that show.

Lucky me I had bought some straw patterned paper a long time ago, and never used it. The image was cut out and layered onto the torn pieces of papers. I hand drew the clouds and cut them out. (Really need go purchase a cloud punch or die!) To finish it off I added some hemp twine and tied the sentiment onto it.

Now onto my exciting news!

Denise of Whimsy Stamps invited me to join the Whimsy Stamps rubber design team!!!

I am so super excited about this, love their variety of stamps, and I am going to have so much fun!! Can't wait for the new release (to be released later this month) to arrive at my house and be part of the fun sneak peeks!!

Ok, and now before I go I'd like to enter my card above to the following challenges:
Thanks so much for stopping by! And be sure to check out what the Whimsy Digital Designers have created by visiting the Whimsy Stamps Inspirations blog.
